Discover the
life-changing power of God's Word.

Life can be overwhelming, but we don't have to face it alone. Through God's Word, we can learn to trust Him, renew our minds, and experience His peace and faithfulness every day.

Sound familiar?

You love God. You believe His Word. But sometimes life gets in the way.

  • You know God says not to worry, but your mind keeps going to the what-ifs.

  • You want to know God more deeply, but aren't always sure where to begin.

  • Past hurts still influence how you see yourself, others, and even God.

  • You believe God is faithful, but waiting on Him can be hard.

We can't always change our circumstances, but God's Word can change how we walk through them.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

ROMANS 12:2 (NIV)

My Story

Freedom I've lived, not just read about.

Hi, I'm Lisa. For much of my life, I didn't realize how deeply my past experiences were shaping the way I saw myself, others, and even God.

I knew the pain of rejection, abandonment, and loss. What I didn't recognize was how much those experiences had influenced my beliefs, decisions, and relationships. I thought my perspective was the truth because it was based on things I'd actually lived through.

But as I began studying God's Word and growing in my relationship with Jesus, something started to change. I began questioning beliefs I'd held for years, recognizing thought patterns I hadn't noticed before, and learning to see my life through the lens of Scripture rather than just my past experiences.

Through Bible Study Fellowship and the re|engage marriage ministry, God continued teaching me that renewing my mind isn't a one-time event. It's a daily choice to surrender my own understanding and allow His Word to change how I think, respond, and live.

I'm still learning, and I'm still a work in progress.

That's why I created Break Free Through the Word. My hope is that these devotionals and journals will encourage you to seek God, discover what His Word says, and begin recognizing where your own thoughts and experiences may be influencing how you see yourself, others, and Him.

Jesus came so that we may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10).

My prayer is that you come to know Him more deeply and experience the freedom, hope, and peace found in Him.
